Who we are

Debbie Did Stuff is operated by Debbie Ables, a writer and storyteller based in Bardstown, Kentucky. This site shares friendly, positive, useful stories and tips, offers a shop with secure checkout, and publishes a weekly newsletter. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

Newsletter subscriptions: your email address (and first name, if you provide it) so we can send you the weekly issue.
Contact form submissions: your name, email, and message when you reach out to us.
Shopping cart: the items you add to your cart are stored locally in your own browser (localStorage) so the cart works as you browse. This data never leaves your device until you choose to check out.
Checkout: when you buy from the shop, payment is processed entirely by Stripe. We do not collect, store, or ever see your full card number.

How we use your information

To send you the newsletter you signed up for.
To respond personally to your questions, stories, and ideas.
To fulfill orders placed through the shop (order details are handled by Stripe).
To improve the site and the stories we share.

Payments & Stripe

All payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment provider. Stripe collects and safeguards your payment information on its own secure servers. Debbie Did Stuff receives only confirmation of your transaction (such as the items ordered and the shipping address needed to fulfill your order). We never store credit card details on this site.

Cookies & local storage

This site uses your browser's local storage to remember your shopping cart between pages and visits. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising. If you clear your browser data, your cart will be emptied.

Sharing your information

We will never sell or rent your email or personal information. We only share what is necessary to operate the site — for example, Stripe processes your payment, and our email provider delivers the newsletter. We may disclose information when required by law.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email. You can clear your cart by clearing your browser's local storage. To request that we delete your contact information, email hello@debbiedidstuff.com and we'll take care of it.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
